I love them too but am very jealous of this shot- I shoot at them all the time but rarely get a useful shot and never one this good

Hey Pagman, thanks for your "WOW" ! That's what I said when I got home with a broad grin..... more than once ! :-D Those are a few of the details your eye would never catch in a lifetime. Can't speak much to my settings due to noobiness, I'm still shooting AV. It was a very bright cloudless sky around 4 ish. Looking back, my EC was bumped up +.3. Your further comments are appreciated ?
