I just saw them, nothing really special. The cityscape shot with the 5DsR looks mediocre at best. Detail on the hippo is really good, however Im sure those that don't need to crop that much or print the big will realize the camera isn't that special.

Some things never change. The early Canon samples are always lackluster, if not outright disappointing--it's been that way since at least the 10D.

No, because it will be acting as the same if you put an EF lens on a crop or x1.3 crop body, the 1D iv didn't have a EF-S mount either

I don't know if that is a Canon specific problem. It seems like almost all manufacturers samples are pretty crappy.
I think to myself, you are a photographic company, how about hire a well respected pro to take your sample shots.
