Here's a house not far from me that has been raised up off its original, crumbling foundation.
It has been sitting like this for quite a while and today I noticed that they are preparing a new foundation for it, not far from the original foundation.
I'll continue to check in on this project as time allows. Looks like they're finally going to move this old place.

This place looks like it hasn't been abandoned long but the process of decay has already got a good foothold.
These types of farmhouses were typically built in the 1850's in this area and this one looks like it had an addition built onto it somewhere in its history.

I can't help but feel sad when I see these types of homes left to the elements. I'm sure there were many happy years spent by many different families in this home, throughout its history. And here it now sits in the first stages of decay……………sad to see its usefulness as a home has come to an end.
