insufferably pedantic. I can live with that.

No, that's not how it works. But the presence of the flame image here does confuse me a little. I don't understand what it's poster meant by "ensuing image".

Jason said this about Mark's candle and balloon:

Mark: You will have to show us your next frame.

So Mark did. The image shows what happened when the flame touched the balloon.

PRONOUN ADVISORY: OhLook is a she. | A FEW CORRECT SPELLINGS: lens, aperture, amateur, hobbyist, per se, raccoon, whoa | Comments welcome

Jason mentioned wanting to see the next picture when commenting and judging everyone's pictures. Mark was just obliging. :-D
Keep your eyes open in the competition section for the next challenge, but the winner might also post a link here so everyone knows it's posted.

Edit: Oops! I didn't see OhLook had replied. Hopefully it's all clear now. :-)

Thanks all, great stuff from everyone.

Here's next week's challenge, sorry for getting it up so late. I was out all day yesterday and picked up a cold before I got home so I was sick as dog and went straight to bed.

Oh, ok. I missed that earlier - thanks for explaining it to us.

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".

Sorry to hear that. I sure do hope that you get well soon. I look forward to the new challenge - thanks!

Thanks, I already felt better(as is not as bad and my body is fighting off quickly) by the morning it shouldn't take long to be 100% again. Never had a cold come on so quick like this one, all of as sudden I had an itch throat and kept coughing but nothing seemed like I was getting sick. About an hour later I had a sore throat, was stuffed up and starter actually feeling sick which all seemed to happen with a blink of an eye.

Must be a new strain of cold going around. Wifey had one just like that a couple of weekends ago. Feeling fine to sick as a dog and back to feeling fine in about 12 hours.
