Hello,
one of my EX 430 II flashes don´t work in hss mode wirelessly. Others do but one of them fires full power even if on screen is hss icon. Any idea how to reset this flash it to factory settings??? (maybe it will help). Thanks.

You could try by taking out the batteries and turn it on and off a few times to deplete any residual current.

Needs a 'Pilot' button press while 1) the 'ON/OFF' switch is 'ON' and 2) the battery door is open.

Let us know if it solves your problem!

Edit: As per MM (we were typing together) but you need the Pilot button press (it won't seem to do anything, of course).

Only Canon knowns that and because they won't tell us we can only try and hope it works also for you.

If you have read it correctly you first have make sure that no power is supplied by the batteries. This can be done by removing the batteries or just opening the battery door.

Then you press the Pilot button and keep it pressed while you then switch on the flash. Repeat that a few times without batteries or with battery door open.

If this does not help you have bring the flash in for repairs or hope someone else has a solution.

Why not just use the flash menu in the camera to reset all the Custom Functions? Would that not do the same thing?

The honours goes to msowsun on this. If you search on Google you will see that the flashes do thing what is not normal even if you set the C.Fn manually to default on the flash itself.
