Up for sale is my workhorse 300 f/2.8 L IS. This lens has been a flawless performer since I bought it in 2005. It has lightning fast focus and the IQ is legendary. I've taken many thousands of great photos with this lens. It is in amazing condition, the body is an easy 9. The glass is clean and has no marks. There are a few very small nicks in the paint - mostly around the mount, which is in good condition and on the base of the hood. The hood has what appears to be a surface scratch or perhaps partial crack. It has been like this since 2007 and it does not adversely affect the use or functionality of the hood. Honestly, I really never notice it because I put a neoprene hood protector on it shortly after discovering it. I'll also include the hood protector in this sale. These hoods are pricey to replace but if I haven't needed to in eight years I doubt you will either.

The lens just arrived back from Canon Repair Center in Newport News. It has had the rear mount seal replaced and has been serviced, cleaned & calibrated. I took it out earlier this afternoon and everything is in good working order.
