For multi-day canoe trips carrying my Canon SX260, I would like to pick up a small, light, inexpensive tpod. I already have the Joby GP1 but it is a bit small/shaky with the SX260, which is a bit of a brick. Thinking of upsizing. I would not rule out also using it in a pinch with the 60D and non-tele zoom; and even thinking of the future and SX60 or similar.

From what I have read, the flexibility of all these is great, but with less than positive comments on the heads. Any opinions? I would appreciate it.
