Either:
Zeiss 85mm ZE*T at $890 USD
or
Canon 85mm MK II at $1800 USD
I'm open to any but I figured for the price and IQ wise these are the two best bets.
I used to own the normal 85mm 1.8 from canon but it was nothing special.
I also have a 100mm 2.8L but I wanna sell it. 100mm is just too much for my confined space that I shoot in a lot. The IQ is amazing and I love the detail I can capture with it but sadly I do not shoot macro much at all. Hoping to get about $650 for this since its pretty new and just put it towards new equipment.
Other places its not hard to use and the AF is nice if I'm outside and can use the live view.
I don't care about AF tho.
I really just want whatever would be best quality.
I will never print above 18x12
This will be just for portraits, mainly chest up, but possibly some half/ 3/4 body stuff
but yeah
I really like the Zeiss, especially for half the price. I've read it was super awesome in a lot of places. I've seen some excellent shots taken with it.
I figured even wide open if its a little soft I can make it more sharp by using a high pass layer in Photoshop like I normally do anyways.
Thoughts?
I was gonna order a portrait lens this weekend but since I have my 100mm and I do NOT need one asap, I figured I may wait til I sell the 100mm
