Nice captures, how are you liking the 150-600?

I'm thinking about getting 1 in place of my 100-400. Never enough reach when shooting birds.

There will be days when you get the shot(s) you missed days, months or years before.

Nice images. I had my first chance to take a few shots of some juveniles last week but they doubled their distance from me before I could get set up to shoot. Needless to say my photos were nothing like yours. One thing is certain though. It is getting far easier to get shots of them in my area now because there are a lot more of them around. I hope to have some shots like your soon. I actually had a day to go look for them but I never found any that day. I happened to be driving down the road when I found them and got a few shots (not even worth posting though). I've been seeing them around for quite a while now but it's never when I'm ready of course.

Thanks

It's a mixed of luck and knowing where to go. They are pretty skittish so you to approach them slowly. I use a tripod and a gimbal head. I don't want to take my chance on the optical stabilizer. There is also lots of Lightroom editing afteward. Keep on shooting. Its the only way to get better
