I think my 32Gb Lexar Professional 800x card went bad. I used it yesterday while I was using my lens align but today I pulled it out to use it and I get an error the it's not able to be formatted. Is there anything I can do to try to get it back, or does anyone know what the warranty period is? I purchased a 2 pack last summer in either may or June

I believe the Professional line has a limited lifetime warranty.
I had issues with a pair of 16GB 400x SD cards a month or so ago. Made contact with them; sent them in; and in about 2 weeks I got them back and they've been working perfectly since.

Nice, thanks now I just need to find the recept. As far as I know I'm only having issues with 1 of the cards should I send both back in?

Tried formatting it in a PC? Tried testing software (external link)?

I linked to testing software, but if you can't format it it's kaput, have it replaced.

Yeah that's what I was thinking. I'm not sure how to test it when it can't be read

Thanks

What is Lexar's "professional line"? Can you please explain this? I was under the impression that if any Lexar card went bad, that the company would not only replace the card but recover the data from the damaged card.

??

I'm not sure how the entire range of Lexar cards are in terms of a warranty, only that the cards I bought say "professional" on them so I looked up information based on that and it said that it was a limited lifetime warranty.

I contacted Lexar and was told my reader could have caused the issue if it wasn't UDMA 7 compliant / compatable I had a Konoos UK28 ( I think it was a 28 )that I bought from eBay and I couldn't find any information on if it is UDMA 7 or not so I ordered one that I know is compliant. The tech from Lexar told me my first step was to make sure the reader would work but then if that wasn't the issue they would have no problem replacing the card since it was a Professional

Sounds like Lexar decided that they don't care about backward compatibility. A UDMA 7 CF card should work in a non-UDMA reader, just not at top speed.

I have no idea about backwards compatibility, but i was told that continued use on a non UDMA 7 reader could eventually caused corruption of the card.

This. I bought a Lexar UDMA 7 USB 3.0 reader. It is super fast. But only use UDMA 7 readers with Lexar cards. Might as well use a Lexar UDMA 7 reader.

Had an issue with my 32GB 400x Lexar Professional last week while I was on vacation; was also purchased as a part of 2-pack ~3.5 yrs ago :)

Few images ended up getting corrupted, but fortunately I caught the issue relatively early and didn't use the card til I got home. Contacted Lexar support and going to swap the cards for a replacement.
