Forum gallery

Is there anyway of getting rid of the forum gallery from the right hand side of the thread page as it gets in the way when I am scrolling.

Your question is somewhat vague (there is no right side gallery on thread pages) but maybe you meant this:

The side gallery is one of the best new features. I love seeing the recently added photographs. This is a photography forum, imagery is the focus, photographs are the entire point. It's in the name. The image sharing, viewing and displaying on this site is the absolute best. There is no other forum that even comes close.

The side gallery lets us see what our fellow photographers are creating and capturing, right now, the most recent photographic works and contributions. It is a fantastic feature. Photography is a visual communication medium, showing and seeing is 99% of photography. I would never disable this feature.

I love the addition of the gallery and all it's associated features. It's the best implementation of a forum gallery on the internet ever. Before Amass it felt like the forum was largely equipment/'gear' focused. There is still all the great technical hands-on-experienced gear discussion, but it is so much more photographically-focused now.

Seeing the amazing works that our fellow members create on a daily basis is truly inspirational, from the working professionals making a living to the hobbyists doing it out of enjoyment and love. I feel honored and humbled to share a common interest with those in this field. With the fantastic new photographically-centered forum-build this place will help further the field of photography for all. Best photography forum. Period.

It is not on the right side - it is on the left, and thereby does not interfere with scrolling. I am sure that the location of the side gallery was very intentional, as is everything that Pekka does.

It wouldn't interfere with scrolling if it were on the right, either. You can scroll from anywhere, using the space bar, the down arrow, or two fingers (or don't PCs have these Mac features?).

I meant on the left. I scroll with my left thumb on my iPad and keep hitting the gallery.

While I like looking at the new photos, when you hit the same one a few times when scrolling it gets a bit tedious.
