There is a lot going on in this photo....Snow, blue sky, green tree's that shouldn't be yellow, etc.... Curious everyone's thoughts on this. I do like the photo, not sure about the tree's. The sun was beating on them right in that midday sun..

Thanks in advance

Hmm... that looks like a tough one to edit. Bandera is a fun hike and I like seeing Rainier out there in the distance! How was the hike? When was this?

A couple things bother me about the shot - I don't mind the really warm (yellow) trees so much, but the sky on the left side is wayyy warmer than the right. Did you use a gradient in LR, left to right? Also, what is the red on the left?

Also, I like many of your other shots from this hike on your smugmug page, nice job!

Thanks for sharing!

Something about the colors seem unnatural, not sure the color of the trees is the issue for me however. I like the contrast of the warm foreground against the cooler background. I think it may be the sky that is throwing me off?

In any case, that is quite the epic photo! Nice capture.

Just a question? Did you up the clarity a lot on this one? It's a little unnatural for my taste. Too "HDR". The photo itself is great. Can you upload the raw image unedited? If you don't mind is like to try an edit. Good shot though!

I didn't even notice the red thing in there until mentioned. I think it may be someone's back. DANG! I think I clean that out. as for any gradient Filter I didn't. Should I try to and "cool down the warmth?"

To answer when was it... It was last week. Unreal how sad our snow level is this year. To be this high up in Jan/Feb and not be in any snow is insane!

Well I can assure you my photoshop/LR skills are no where near able to make clouds look crazy, cool, change or tweak :-P!

Thanks ;-)a
