Everglades Tricolor and Little Blue Herons

I spent 2 full days and 2 half days in the Everglades and came home with a full 100 'keeper' images. These two were from Loop Road near Shark Valley area.

Wood Storks were endangered and a few years ago moved to 'Threatened' status, but I saw quite a few. I was using the 7D MkII with the Ver 1 of the 100-400mm lens and I thought it tracked pretty well considering the dense and cluttered background.

Another 'couple of challenging' focus situations for the 7D MkII and the OLD 100-400. Neither is 'perfect' but reaction time had to be quick.

Yes, You are correct. My Florida shooting buddy just corrected me on this. He said it is an immature black crown night heron.
