any suggestions on how to make this photo better ?

Overall the photo looks dark to me, I would bring up the exposure and also bring up the shadows to try and get some detail in the face of the calf. Too much dead space on the right side of the frame, and to save the reflection you may need to go vertical if this is the composition of the original shot. If you have more image in the original I woulkd recompose the photo placing the calf more on the right side of the frame. Overall it is a nice shot just needs a little tweaking.

The new version looks good. I think it looks much better than the original post IMO.
