Even if I don't bring my travel camera around, I always have my phone. A bad picture is better than no picture at all, right?

One day, I wish you can capture an image, or even video, that exactly your eye sees, and just thinking about wanting to capture it, captures it. How to hook it up, I have no idea :p

I usually carry my Canon Powershot S110 with me. Got this shot on the way home from work with it a couple of days ago. Very happy with it - don't think I could have done better with my SLR...

This is why I've sold the DSLR and gone fully mirrorless. I always have my a7S or EOS M on me depending on where I'm going or what I'm doing.

I hate when that happens.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.
I used to hate math but then I realised decimals have a point.

How often do you kick yourself for not having your camera?

I don't think I have, not even once.
I think this is because photography is a very intentional, time-consuming activity for me. I don't just see something I think is cool, stop, adjust settings, frame the shot, shoot, and go about my other business.

If I am going to photograph something, then I set out to photograph that thing. The photography has been planned, and is an intentional endeavor. I take my time when I photograph something.....photography is not something that I try to fit into odd moments while doing other activities. Therefore, any time I want to photograph something, I already have my gear with me - all of the gear that is useful for photographing that particular subject matter at that particular place at that particular time.

If I don't have my camera with me, that means that I wasn't planning on using that day for photography - I had something different that I was planning to do. And if I have something to do, then I am going to be spending my time and my energy doing that thing, not doing photography.

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".
