Tired red fox... I snuck up to him from about 70 Yards... I got to within 20 ft. of him, and snapped some pics.
Thoughts?

To be honest with you, I'm so "Green" I just look at what I see, and capture it how I think it will look best. https://www.instagram.com/sethtrudeauphotography/

Yes, the second one is blurry - shutter speed just too slow to eliminate shake. But nicely framed - interesting rhythm with the red branch (dogwood?). Really like the first shot - great focus, lovely textures and colours - you hardly notice the OOF obstacles on either edge.

I went back upstairs and got a camera - only, dimwittedly, I grabbed my 5DII. I hung back from the door but, as the second picture shows, the loud shutter noise alerted the fox, even through the pretty thick door. Often, the light difference between indoors and out hides us watchers inside - but this time, I was spotted. Pah - should have taken the LC1... Also, didn't get either shot really sharp - but I was using manual focus, though a double pane of toughened glass. By the way, these are the first shots I have ever exported from LR. Until today, I had no idea how to do it. Upped the exposure a bit, cropped (massively - I was standing well back), applied 'standard' sharpening on export. Blimey, I've a lot to learn! The trouble is, the camera gets to decide what your focal point will be. It's better to decide yourself. *Sandy* "If we all had positive attitudes...we could change the world"
