Long story.....we made that for that cub and relocated it there.

As a hunter, I have used trail cams. Mostly in the past. Between them not lasting a year, or getting stolen, I have shied away from using them. I've found it's better to not know what's there, then to wait all year for the big one that was on the camera, and end up with nothing. I didn't save too many, usually delete the card after viewing them. Some that I have saved are from my son's camera.

Also, bear try to eat trail cams... I have a short video of a bear attacking one, but can't put it up here.

Just wondering.....if I hang out by a deer trail for a few hours with a camera, and eventually get a photo of a deer, does that count as a "trail cam photo"?

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".

I agree with you... I don't use them for hunting... If I'm on new land, I may set one up to make sure there's game, but I don't depend on it to find the deer for me during hunting season. I would like another, just for the pics though!

sort of... You're on the trail with the camera, but it's a different skill. You don't set up the camera in the right way to make the best pic, but you do wait around and get the right pic.

What you did is prob harder, setting up the camera prob takes more skill. (For you, because you're an experienced photographer) But please post the pic!

Next year I want to set a camera up around mid August, viewing a tree that has been getting rubbed every year for the past few years, just to see how big he has gotten, if he's still around. Getting a big buck rubbing a tree would be the goal. Hopefully in daylight, and living color.

I bought a trail camera to confirm my suspicions about nighttime marauders on my back deck....and I was right!
