Spent last week in Florida man was it nice compared to home. These were taken by Key West on Stock Island near the Naval airbase. These kestrals let me get much closer than do those at home. Taken with my trusty Nikon V2 and 70-300mm CX lens. Great travel combo

Very nice. That appears to be much closer than I expect to get.

I was about 30 yards away and using the Nikon 70-300mm CX lens. The database did not show it so I used what was close. I really like the V2 and this lens for travel, much lighter. Thanks for the comments. Usually they never let me get this close, but this guy was fairly cooperative.

Beautiful raptor captured very nicely.
I too like the 2nd image very much as it's contrast and color are superb.

Very nice shots, I can assure you that kestrals are not usually that patient down here. They remain on my nemesis list
