You've captured a great moment!
Your sensor dust is showing! A sign of an experienced camera?

Thanks. I guess my camera is getting too "experienced" :)

Its horrible that on the "post photos" threads sometimes too less people comment on a beautiful work like this!

Awesome composition and especially the colors. Im impressed with the Dynamic Range in here. Lovely exposure! Mind you tell me what camera/lens you used?

Thanks. :-)

Yes, I use my Canon 5D mk3, with the Tamron 24-70mm VC. F-stop is f16 which gives the sun star effect.

I was actually debating to post this one vs. the one below.

Love birds' shot! Brilliant sol-star effect.
That's Evergreen.

This seems to me from all times and fora Sir.
No one can be obligated to write CC. On the other hand receiving comments is closely related to give comments.
Someone with a fulltime job can probably not spend the same amount of time as eg someone who is retired.
I have experienced many times on different fora the amount of given CC is usually not in proportion with the received ones.

One person will accept a remarque concerning sensor dust...another one will experience this as nitpicking. Although it is a small effort to clean a sensor.
If everyone limit themselves to posting and waiting then it could become long days...

When giving CC and restrict to: “wow, amazing...” Then there is not much to learn or improve.
Please do not misunderstand me, since English is a foreign language to me, when a picture is good...then it is.

This opinion is not in particular targeted to topic starter. Just a finding.
There is so much beautiful and nice architecture worldwide to find on different fora.

On topic:
Even with flare I prefer the first one because there is more detail in the shadow parts.
The white lines arround the birds in the second one, make me thinking there is to much sharpening. But that is only technical aspect.
Overall is the first image to me a better one.

Marc

Thanks for the critique. I was thinking along the same lines. I didn't have a lot of time to set up the "bird" shot. I just waited from them to fly across the sun, shoot, and hope for the best. The birds were a bit far off and had to sharpen/increase clarity to bring them out.

I do appreciate all comments big and small. Gaging from the raw number of comments, I get a sense if it's just me that likes the photo or others as well.
