If we are being honest it's time we stopped thinking of Apple as a computer manufactor and serious software developer , and think of them as what they really have become, a phone maker and seller of songs via iTunes.

Personally I''m now committed to sticking with Mavericks and Apeture for the long haul, and just ignoring the supposed updates to a better os.

Agreed - unfortunately my new Mac Pro came with Yosemite. Mavericks has its problems too. I've used Macs since 1987, I'm a bit disappointed in the steady move away from Pro applications and rock-solid, highly dependable performance in favor of the dumbing down toward iOS and syncing everything to all devices.
