Holy Buckets. I can't see a need personally for a 50MP sensor, but more power for those that do.

Okay, well that's neat. I've been debating picking up a 5DIII for non-sports stuff to go with my pair of 7DmkI's, but this sounds very tempting.

Same DR as the 5d3. Most likely the 7d2 sensor on steroids. Staying with my A7R...don't see anything to lure me back to Canon for landscapes.

Being an amateur landscaper wanting to do more in-camera, and less on the PC, I'd love to have more DR (than my 5D2), and of course, and a higher, more usable ISO.

The biggest constraint for me is all the Canon gear I have laying around; I'd be starting from scratch and have to give up on all the good glass I've collected over the years.

Print size is not a concern for me, nor is video. I wish someone would make a DSLR without video :) I've wanted to mess around with astro, and the A7S sounds like a great tool for that. I had also read that the 6D is a great astro tool, as well. The A7R would be great middle-ground for me I suppose.

It's not important for landscapes, but sometimes I have to do daddy duty, and for that I would need a reliable party and sports shooter. I have read the A7R and S have terrible tracking, so sports is probably out of the question.

Reading more about the 5Ds'es, they don't give me either of the two things I've listed above; bummer!

BTW, I have heard that BIONZ sonsor produces great colors. Can you please confirm? What is your opinion on Canon versus SONY?

Wonder how much $$ to collect a reasonable set of SONY lenses. Does SONY have an 'L' line?

Regards ..

Freddy Khan.

I'd rather have a medium format sensor with 25mp than a 35mm with 50...
