This was build by Italian prisoners of war who were used to build the Churchill Barriers to prevent German U-Boats from entering the Royal Navy harbours at Scapa Flow. The prisoners were given Nissen huts, and from one of these they constructed their chapel.

I didn't notice when I took the photo, but it was the first thing I spotted when I was resizing for posting here. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to visit Orkney again - bummer.
