I spent a week in Orkney last June, and one of the sights visited was the Italian Chapel. This was build by Italian prisoners of war who were used to build the Churchill Barriers to prevent German U-Boats from entering the Royal Navy harbours at Scapa Flow. The prisoners were given Nissen huts, and from one of these they constructed their chapel.
