There's more information in th Orcadian newspaper such as this article on Sixty years on - a symbol of peace stands the test of time (external link) from 2002. One of the Italian prisoners was Domenico Chiocchetti who even stayed on after the war to ensure the chapel's completion. There was a memorial service held in the chapel in 1999 when Chiocchetti died, but I don't know if there are routine services held at the moment. I was near the entrance when I took shot #2, and I there wasn't rows of pews or anything like that.
