Cheetahlight cl-360 accesories

So I am looking to pickup a cl-360 combo with battery and remote transmitter system. What else do I need to pick up. What is needed to to mount an umbrella. And also what about there qbox system as I am looking at a 30". I am not too familiar with their system just know that it gets great reviews and is reasonably priced.

You need a pro s bracket Bowens or Elinchrom

I'd get a small reflector and grids.

Y-split battery cable for faster recycle.
Bare bulb flash tube protector.
Umbrella reflector.

Good call on the 2-1 cord and bulb protector.

Fwiw, if you order a spare bulb it comes with a metal protector. I switched the foam cover the light had around the bulb onto the spare and use the metal housing on one of my lights. Saved twelve bucks. :P

Any swivel bracket will have an umbrella mounting hole and screw lock. Also, I have found that unless you're using these lights at full power, you don't need a Y cord. The recycle time with the single plug is nearly instantaneous. I use the Cheetah 50cm square soft box quite a bit and their reflective umbrellas with the silk front. I also use their 24" small round soft box quite a bit. I think they call it a collapsible beauty dish.

Pick up a set of grids to help control light spill too. These snap into the standard reflector. I also use spring clamps to mount the batteries to my light stands. This keeps them secure.

My four Cheetah lights live in a Pelican case and I've never used bulb protectors. Haven't broken a single one in two years.
