A pair of Mourning Doves outside my window during a snowstorm. It's suppose to snow for days!
I'm so sleepy...
I just can't fight it...

Feb 08, 2015 15:44 | #3 Thanks Ted. It was challenging with it snowing so hard. I kept playing with my camera settings trying to get it right. Lots of them had snow streaks! *Sandy* "If we all had positive attitudes...we could change the world"

It is cold, but at least it's not 25 below zero F! budcam wrote in post #17422313 Nicely done Sandy and you did well. Thanks Dan! Thanks Al! My autofocus was going crazy with the moving snow. I tried to focus manually, but that was really hard too! Often the slow shutter speed just produced a big blob of white spots instead of streaks. *Sandy* "If we all had positive attitudes...we could change the world"

I love mourning doves, and I love snow....so you've combined two of my favorite things in one image. Great work! "Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.

Thanks Marc! They are usually in a group up in the trees, or on the power lines. This time, this pair chose to stay close to the food source. They are puffed up to stay warm! Wallace River wrote in post #17423316 Great work Sandy. Supposed to snow for days? I'm hoping it doesn't shift my way, I just had to have my roof shoveled off. Thanks Ian! We are suppose to get a brief reprieve, then right back into the cold and snow. We really need a bit of a thaw! Lester Wareham wrote in post #17423832 Lovely shots Sandy. Poor things. Thanks Lester! I don't think they mind the cold. They never seem too stressed! *Sandy* "If we all had positive attitudes...we could change the world"
