I like #2. I'd like to see more of the roadway so that I could follow it with my eyes up to the white buildings.

Those are much better then that other one. My biggest complaint would be your last one, The tree looks cut off, it was a good use of the thirds, but it doesn't look right.

Keep up the good work, Dave

The road in that picture goes to the big pond shown in this picture, it was taken from the parking lot at the white buildings.
I had to use the road going to the pond to get a picture of all the buildings in the shot. The road to the pond and the pond was closed to the public, so I had to take the buildings from the closed gate.

but if you had laid down on your belly and shot the same scene, the road would have taken up MUCH more of the image. I'm not suggesting that exactly that process would have made the picture better. Rather suggesting that seeing pictures from a typical human height from the ground is often the mark of an amateur. I am regularly on the ground on my belly, sitting on my butt, or climbing on top of my truck to get a different view. In fact I built a frame for the top of the truck so i don't have to stand on the sheet metal.

i also break rules like "no trespassing" and "road closed to public"

I didn't post on your gas station thread, but I saw it. And I must say these are A LOT better than your first one. You actually have subjects! Lol #2 is my favorite as I think everybody else's is. Great use of the road to lure our eyes to the buildings above. In response to the post above this one. I wouldn't recommend violating posted rules. I wouldn't tell you not to break the rules either. I learned my lesson while spinning steel wool on top of one of the highest buildings in my small city. All I'm saying is be careful. Breaking the rules could get you the money shot, or a fat ticket.

spinning steel wool .

i had to google that.

odd that they would take throwing sparks of burning steel all over the top of their building so seriously.

:-P

PSE and my little friend hid the storage building that looked out of place for that picture.
I hear you about the fat ticket don't want to be getting any of them.
