Like most 'competitions' it's best to know who the judges are and what they typically 'reward'. As casual viewers we may not judge the same way that they do.
In #1 I have difficulty deciding whether the main subject is the lupines or the mountain, and I don't care for the composition.
In #2 you have a nice sunset, but sunsets are pretty common.
With #3 the subject is again pretty common, so you need to make the most of composition and tonality. Were it mine, I would cut off some of the light foreground and flip it horizontally. I feel it would have stronger composition that way, and be one of my two choices.
#4 is my favorite. For the composition I would cut out the horse, and flip him horizontally so that he faces the sun. The rest is fine the way it is.
Just my subjective opinion. The opinions of the judges may differ.
