I got my Wacom tablet used for free (one of the perks of working for an AD agency. They were swapping out all the old tablets for new ones, and I got it for free), and I love using it in LR and PS.

It might sound strange but I have really, really bad penmanship as in I can't even make my signature the same twice. I seem to have better control when I use a pen that offers a lot of resistance so I find the tablet surfaces far too slick to control my movements. I'm just able to work more precisely with a mouse. My remedy is I have a piece of average copy paper taped over the the pad of the tablet and found it to provide just the right amount of friction for my needs. Also, I owned the darn thing for probably a year and half without using it because it just didn't feel quite right after initially trying it. So it just sat there, $250 waste of money until one day I decided to force myself to use it and, what do you know, a couple of days later I couldn't edit without it! Then later on I thought of using the paper trick to add some friction and it made it so much better I couldn't believe I didn't think of it sooner! Why didn't you just change out the tip of the pen that came with the tablet? There is a tip with a small white bead (felt like tip) that is included and it adds friction to the touch. itsallart Cream of the Crop More info | weed-eater line? sounds cool! I imagine you would have to smooth the tip with a fine sand paper though after cutting off the right length. You can also buy replacement nibs on amazon, 6 pieces for 10 bucks or maybe even cheaper on ebay. Renata
