I got my Wacom tablet used for free (one of the perks of working for an AD agency. They were swapping out all the old tablets for new ones, and I got it for free), and I love using it in LR and PS.

I guess I'm in the minority but I've tried several tablets and I just can't seem to get along with them.

Free is ALWAYS good!

What do you find is the problem?

It might sound strange but I have really, really bad penmanship as in I can't even make my signature the same twice. I seem to have better control when I use a pen that offers a lot of resistance so I find the tablet surfaces far too slick to control my movements. I'm just able to work more precisely with a mouse.

I use a mouse and a Intuos 3 and have bad penmanship, and have
also found the surface too slick as well. My remedy is I have a piece
of average copy paper taped over the the pad of the tablet and found it
to provide just the right amount of friction for my needs. Also, I owned the darn thing
for probably a year and half without using it because it just didn't feel quite
right after initially trying it. So it just sat there, $250 waste of money until
one day I decided to force myself to use it and, what do you know, a couple of days
later I couldn't edit without it! Then later on I thought of using the paper trick
to add some friction and it made it so much better I couldn't believe I didn't think
of it sooner!

Why didn't you just change out the tip of the pen that came with the tablet? There is a tip with a small white bead (felt like tip) that is included and it adds friction to the touch.

some are not even aware where to find them. My medium size tablet has them in the pen base that unscrews. I heard that other models have them on the back of the tablet :)

This is the type of pen and nibs my kit came with:
Unfortunately, I lost the black felt tip nib somewhere even though
I had a tiny little clear plastic case to store them in. I don't know how I managed
to lose just the black one, beats me!

Hey, did you guys know you can use weed-eater line to replace the standard nibs?
I can't remember what size dia. line at the moment but hey, it works!

weed-eater line? sounds cool! I imagine you would have to smooth the tip with a fine sand paper though after cutting off the right length. You can also buy replacement nibs on amazon, 6 pieces for 10 bucks or maybe even cheaper on ebay.

Yep, got to sand em down a little, Emory board, sandpaper, lighter/match, whatever works!

That's an awfully good price.

I have the Intuos 5 Small, which I think is the same as the Small Intuos Pro basically, it didn't look like much changed aside from the name.

I've owned two different Wacom tablets before and they were both bigger but I don't really need a large one.

Not having a tablet like that would make certain things a real pain, I don't like having to use the mouse, not to mention not having pressure sensitivity.

My spare nibs came in the pen holder base thing. It unscrews and there are 10 replacement nibs along with a thing that takes the nibs out of the pen.
