I shoot with a 7Dii, but I've been thinking about getting a FF so Im interested to know your thoughts on the 6D for rugby. The 6400 ISO shots look pretty good. Did you use center point focus with the 6D and if so how did the af keep up for the majority of your shots? Thanks

Multiple accounts on POTN is an offense that results in Permanent ban of both accounts. Some days you get the bear, & some days the bear gets you. And FYI, comments on Mod actions is severely frowned upon. ; )

definitely not a comment on mod actions, no idea where you got that from. it was purely me wondering what could he have possibly put in his other three posts to get banned, as that one seemed fairly innocuous. as you said, multiple accounts and now i'm curious as to why anyone would want more than one account? i've posted about this before, having seen other people banned and i'm always curious as to why...

i only used it as i knew the light would be that bad that my 1d mk3 would be nigh on useless after the first half an hour of the game, because of the low iso ceiling.
centre point only i'm afraid as getting a lock with the outer ones is next to impossible.
in an ideal world i would have a 1dx (and all it's inherent advantages) but i'm still waiting for the mk3 to die first.
i think i shot about 500 pics and probably 90% were in focus, so not too shabby really.

i used the 6d again today as the forecast was grim, (but turned out to be bright and sunny) and found the af was definitely lacking. it does the job, but not the sharpest tool in the box.

I had to wait ages for my first diving try.... then like buses, two came along in the same match.

I've been using a 7d2 and a 6d for rugby for a while and the 6d is terrible, the AF is so clunky, fps is slow, I ended up buying a 2nd 7d2 body so by the end of last season I was running 7d2 + 300f2.8, 7d2 + 70-200f2.8 & 6d + 15mm fisheye.
And just yesterday I picked up a used 1dx pretty cheap, now I just meet to figure out which lens to put on it

Don't do it!, I've had a 6d and 7d2, other than the high iso advantage, the 7d2 wins everywhere else for shooting Rugby

Nice! Looking forward to your shots. Do you get to shoot Super Rugby too, or is that hard to get pitch-level access to?
