(2 edits in all) | Feb 10, 2015 08:49 | #1 I snuck up on a feeding Peregrine on one of the local beaches a couple of days ago...............and it was a bit of a gory sight as it pulled apart its prey. Some kind of duck I guess, a female Harlequin? A female Black Scoter or Scaup perhaps? As I've noticed before the pics look soft in Firefox on my monitor and much better in Chrome. Reminded me a bit of the Walking Dead from the other night. Those feathers must tickle though............. All taken with the 7DM2 and 500 f4 MK2, uncropped or only cropped very slightly for composition purposes. I have no idea why it was so tame, usually they are very wary...............I think it may have been more concerned about Kites/Crows stealing its prize than a human pointing a camera at it.
