Thanks very much Brian. These occur when moisture trapped between my internal end external windows condenses and freezes. They can vary wildly depending on temperature variation and humidity levels. I have been meaning to photograph them for years. Now that I have made an initial study I'm going to be at this a lot more. The biggest challenge I face is when I open the interior window to get close enough focus I start getting condensation and melt so I have to work fast.
