I would post images, but the truth is they just look as if they have been over panned. The issue is the amount, in some shots the amount of blur is almost commensurate with having been following the other half of a crossing formation maneuver. This isn't just at 600mm either. In fact I had a look and there are a lot like that even when shooting at between 200 and 300mm. I do not get results like this when using my unstabilised Sigma 28-300. I know they are two very different lenses, handling wise, but to go from a 90% plus failure rate with the Tamron to about a 70% keeper rate (at least for panning errors) with the Sigma within these two overlapping focal length ranges has to be about more than technique. Also mostly when I miss pan with the smaller lens I might get a few tens of pixel widths of blur. With the Tamron it is often getting up into the 100's of pixels of blur width. I could accept that it was all down to poor technique if the errors were much closer in amount to those I usually get in the same situation with my normal lens.
