plus the chargers and box

for $500. now its cl so I'm meeting at a barnes and nobles and i was going to bring my own lens. but do you think thats an ok deal or should i look some place else?

In the UK a used 60d -body only- sells in a secondhand camera store for £379 approx. $577.

So yes that deal looks about standard, since it would be better for both parties for avoid the used store.

Unless you factor in that many used stores give you a six month warranty with the used gear, which could be worth the premium.

two years ago the 60D was selling at Best Buy for $439, it was on Canon's refurbished for $450. So depending on if you want the lens it might be an average deal - be sure to check the shutter count with magic lantern

Seeing how a similar package from B&H is running $999 after rebate, I'd say that was a pretty good deal, depending on condition of the items and shutter count.

That is a decent deal. The lens alone is worth something in the range of $300-400.
