Using noise reduction this time...hockey....

to follow on a post from last week, I was back in the same rink but as luck would have it, some lights were now off (or broken) so my aspirations of higher shutter speed with higher ISO went out the window. I did have to go to 3200 on the 1D3 but could only manage 1/500 ss unfortunately. I also downloaded a trial of Topaz to try the noise reduction stuff and really liked how it retained detail while reducing noise. Here's a few samples...still working on sorting out combining sharpening with the noise reduction since I'm new to Topaz.

Look pretty good to me. Good exposure, white balance and action.
