Very, very nice.

Composition is all in the eye of the beholder, or in this, the image maker. Nothing wrong with the comp on this one.

Now, if you had a client that wanted it centered, no problem. After all, he that pays the invoice can use his own voice. Or something like that.

Agreed. When I took this shot there was one woman in the pews praying (out of sight, camera left) and I was more concerned that I might be disturbing her than I was with being perfectly centered. Canon's new silent mode is awesome in these circumstances.

I'm kind of surprised you got the shot.
They often have security in the church that won't let a photographer use a camera.
I've shot several weddings there and on most occasions have had to let security know that I was a hired photographer before I could get out my camera.

Someday I'm going to have to go through my files and find one of the alter, as shown, and one of the back with the organ. That's also a great view.

I asked permission from the security guard. He said there are only two times you can't take pics; during mass or during a wedding unless you're the paid photographer at the wedding.

That explains why they wanted to know if I was the photographer.
Now, I'll have to stop by next time I'm down in the city to do the shots with a TSE lens.

The organ is indeed impressive. I would love to hear it some day.

It looks like an illustration and not a picture.

Phil,
Some of that is processing, but some is also the way the interior of the Cathedral is lit.
Most of my pictures from weddings in there have a similar look before I even start on processing.
