Feb 13, 2015 12:47 | #2 Exposure looks fine, DOF is good but I'm not sure what there is to like about the shot. Technically it's OK. I don't see anything of interest in the frame at all.

Feb 13, 2015 15:15 | #4 A little background . This is roof on the waterwheel at Berry College in Rome Georgia . The green oxidized straps were added where stone shingles had been repaired and replaced . They copper straps were nailed to the roof with copper nails . Old construction and old buildings intrigue me .

LeftHandedBrisket Combating camera shame since 1977... More info | Absolutely. If this is the full image, cropping might be tight, or might not work. If you look at the chimney it doesn't look exactly straight. I'm of the opinion things need to be exactly straight or off enough that it's obvios you didn't want it straight. I think as it is it qualifies for off just enough. (2 edits in all) | Feb 14, 2015 06:15 | #8 hope you don't mind, but i took the liberty of doing a crop while my coffee dripped this morning. This is straightening up the chimney a bit, notice also the trees. They are leaning a bit, notice on the right they lean to the left and on the left they lean to the right. Same with the sides of the chimney. This is a natural keystone effect that happens unless the camera is perfectly level. Just something to keep in mind as you crop pictures.
