I am always amazed at the perches these waders can achieve when love is in the air as shown in your 1st image. Your 2nd capture is a wonderful depiction of fine feather detail too. Well done!

Wonderful job with the exposure. My highlights usually end up washed out with this bird, but not yours.

Nice captures on both of them! I really like that location, amazing how many birds are on that little island! I believe the bird is a Great Egret by the way. It looks like the green was pushed a little far in the first one, other than that though they are great. Very good detail, and nice poses as well. Really like the breeding plumage on them!
