I am surprised there is nothing on the web about it,just tried googling and no hits,no reviews nothing. They certainly are not pushing it out with a fanfare.

Thanks for the links,i really hope that someone like DPReview can give really get to grips with it,hopefully sooner than later but i am really happy with my g1xmk2 ,a couple of things i would add,external microphone jack,EVF and a more reliable focussing system in difficult circumstances, but i will keep an eye on the mk3 version

Thank you , google never found that .I did read in the comments below that this wasn't a production model

"the Canon G3X doesn't go on sale until next month, and as of the time the preview was written, a production sample wasn't available to judge image quality or ergonomics. (We've handled an early sample some time ago, but being preproduction, we obviously wouldn't use that to cast judgement.) Hence the feature-set and specs are all we had to go on. We will of course be updating all of this as soon as we've tested a production-level camera, though!"

I would like to see how the quality of the smaller sensor compares to the larger one of the g1x mk11, for one i think i will see what happens if the mk4 comes about in the future.
