Took these the other day while skipping school with my principal....we both are x-coaches...of course any tips or coments on photos welcome.

1.freshman throwing the snake

General comment is that I'd like to see the shots a little larger. We're happy to see embedded images of 800x pixels along the longest edge on the forum.

Specifically, I am not sure #1 really suits the portrait orientation, #2 & 3 I like. #4 you appear to be focused on the referee and a lower angle would be nice.

Shoot alot tighter! With wrestling, you want to be tight -- no need to have entire bodies in the shot.

thanks for the advice...#1 was a odd crop just to get all 4 of my kids up... about the focus on 4 i think i have figured that in al servo mode the focus keeps jumping to a closer subject if they break the focal plane. cause i was completely bumbed when i got 4 on computer... maybe next year... our season in ok. is done we may do some freestyle though...

When shooting wrestling you dont really need much more then the faces In the shot, whenever I goto shoot wrestling I bring my 70-200 and sit right on the edge of the mat. Man I hate the Zebras too!
