I have received a free copy of DxO Optics Pro 9. I currently use LR5 on the subscription with PS.

Is it worth my while installing Optics Pro, especially given it isn't the current version? I'm not particularly interested in learning new software, unless it does something much better than LR5 . . .

Cheers, Damien

I have both LR4.4 and DXO 8.5 Pro, i use them together to do separate jobs that they both do very well, if you set up your camera/lens module in DXO you can visually sharpen your lens to get the best from it with out sharpening halo's like you can sometimes get with normal sharpening, its also very good as i have the settings for import to there - as shot in camera settings this way it is just as your camera was set up by you.
I then export into LR and do certain other work i want to in there.

The combination of the two i find very useful:-D
