The Call of the Mourning Dove

I can mimic the call of the Mourning Dove. At least good enough that rival males will sometimes fly in for a look. This one was definitely giving me the eye. I am pretty sure it is a male. :oops:

Looks like you have the same bird bath as I do Mark!
Your talent to call in doves served you well here and yielded a very nice capture. Although not the smartest avian I know they are at the very least a wary bird. Well done!

Thanks Steve! This bird bath is a Lowe's concrete special! It works though!
Calling it a "talent" is quite a stretch, but at least occasionally I have some positive results. Which does support your "not the smartest avian" comment! :-)
