I bought my wife a Nex3N before we went on a meditteranean cruise and it performed exceptionally. I use canon primarily and am very familiar with the workflow but sonys raw format confuses me. I cannot open it in camera raw but lightroom seems to do fine, but I think it is manipulating the images? When I first click an image it is perfectly toned and corrected for about a second and then it changes to an uncorrected barrel distorted low contrast image. I am guessing this is because the in camera presets are stored but not applied to the raw file. In this instance because there are so many pictures I would prefer to apply in camera corrections to every image and be done with it. Where do I go from here?

At the bottom of the develop module in LR you should see "Camera Calibration". In that section there's a selection called "Profile", if you click there you should be able to select all the camera's presets and choose the one you like (the default is usually "standard"). There's a way to save it so that all of your images get preloaded with that preset, but I honestly can't remember how to do it....
