Apparently Lightroom 6 listing was accidentally posted on a french retailers website or something with description of the features. Available March 9th.

Sounds cool if true, key features from the listing.

- HDR
- Panorama Creation
- Facial Recognition

Thoughts? I'm excited about this if true.

If the switch from library to develop is quicker, I'll be happy.

Interesting stuff. I think better healing tools would be a huge plus. That is about the only reason I go into PS these days.

According to all the features, it is selling to new uses ,because I don't see anything worthwhile as a an updated product.

If this is true, I wonder why a beta hasn't been released; unless March 9 is when the beta will be released and the final version to be released later.

Healing brush improvements and face recognition will be nice. HDR and Panorama in LR would be nice although there are dedicated programs that do a pretty good job. It will be interesting to see and those of us on the $9.99/mo CC plan will get the upgrade automatically.

I was thinking the same thing Dave. I have a CC subscription through work and usually stuff like this gets pushed to people for beta, at least for 30 days or so before release. I will be surprised if they do release production version on 3/9/15. Since I can try it out due to CC, I will be doing so either way. I still own 5 outright, but we will see if there is anything on 6 that would encourage me to switch if I no longer get access to CC in the future.

All of the unknowns aside regarding the "new" features, it looks like all of this is tweaking what is already in LR5+PS except for what appears to be the hint that LR6 will leverage the GPU (and the Face recognition thing - I never really got the appeal of that in iPhoto, but hey, whatever floats your boat!).

If things like HDR merging and Panorama assembly are picked out of PS and plugged into LR in a standalone manner, that is an interesting move on Adobe's part. Strange. I guess enough people who use LR are really that averse to using Photoshop.

All of this is rumors, based off a French website that published something that one of their readers told them...

This entire thread belongs in the Rumor forum.

Hopefully it has a healing brush that is at least half as good as the one iPhoto has had for over 10 years...the one in LR4 is atrocious

One thing that seems really odd is the date, normally Adobe does a beta for the major Lightroom releases, and that hasn't happened.
