Did some more covert shooting this past weekend...my family along with friends stayed in a very rustic lodge in the mountains...my daughter making new friends, spending some time doing what little girls like to do...

The light through the windows was very soft, northern side light...just highlighting them...

It's good to know that I'm not the only one who gives himself a grade every year I feel like I've had a very good year and I've been very pleased with my gear upgrades ... but ... I did fail to produce an "epic" image. I'm always searching for that slice of life pic that everyone can appreciate and relate to. It's not easy, that's for sure.

Trust me, Shane, your photos this year have been inspiring. I've loved every one you've posted.

It's that negative feedback loop rut...you get discouraged because you aren't producing anything that keeps you motivated...you aren't motivated to shoot because you're discouraged by the lack of producing anything.

Sometimes you just have to pick yourself and shoot for the sake of shooting to jump start things again.
