You have great family photos to cherish for years to come!! ;-)a

That's the goal!

Family photos aren't always the sexiest thing to photograph, so its hard to find the motivation to pick up the camera sometimes....especially since there isn't much going on during covid.

Realistically though, this is the most important thing I'll ever photograph. Just need to keep reminding myself that.

A realistic snapshot of your messy life is what you'll cherrish most one day, over a well planned snappy portrait. At least that's how I feel. The messier the better, it's real photojournalism of your family and life, flaws and all. That's what you lived. That's what they lived.

I enjoy the RAW photos some people share here. The really well composed ones with fantastic photo elements like composition with the environment make it a really great photograph, sometimes this is super hard to pull off in your home, but still, this is one of my favorite threads for this reason. It forces you to really pay attention to everything.

Very best,

Very best,

I really appreciate this thread

It seems that these days we are inundated with technically great photos of naturally photogenic subject matter. I too enjoy how people are able to take something so raw and make interesting photos out of them. It takes an eye to do so. It's definitely been an inspiration for me to keep shooting these days and it really helps you find the beauty in mundane of the day-to-day.

Those types of shots have always been my favorite. Much like how I would much rather watch a historical drama than a blockbuster super hero movie

This thread has been my favorite since I found it. I really like the "shots that make you feel alone" thread too.

Thank you. The x100v has grain simulation turned on in the camera for the film profile I used.

It's definitely a rare thing on the southern part of the state. It was actually pretty horrible for a lot of people but we got really lucky with the electricity.

It was her birthday weekend so it was definitely a treat
