In light of a new recent sesame street character, here is a new one from me. My son was diagnosed with autism a few weeks back. He is very high functioning and mostly just flaps when he is happy and has a hard time expressing his feelings of anger and jealousy. We love him just as he is, of course, and wouldn't have it any other way. Here he is, flapping happily at his newest crayola masterpiece.

Thank you for sharing, great shot! :)

It's so great that they're diagnosing kids easier/earlier these days! My poor little sister went through so many different schools, tests, psychiatrists, medicines, etc. before they finally diagnosed her with Aspergers... it made life so much easier for her and everyone around her once we knew why she was different. She wasn't diagnosed until she was about 12. She's a well functioning adult now, I'm very proud of who she is :)

Great shot. My grandson also was diagnosed with Aspergers when he was two, and now my wife and I get to attend his "regular" high school graduation this June. Very thankful for all the hard work my son put in to trying to keep things normal.
