The colors shouldn't be the dominant part of photo....but color definitely gives context to the story IMO. i.e. in the case of this image, the contrast between the tungsten yellows inside the tent vs the cooler color light outdoors definitely adds to the story of your kids taking a break from the elements. focalpointsphoto.com

Thank you, Pekka! I'm sure some members here might have imagined that POTN might begin winding down. But that doesn't make the news any less disappointing. So generous of you to allow us to go along for the ride. As a result you gave us a way to help each other become better photographers. But there's still so much more to learn.

I love capturing candids of my family because none of them (including me) actually enjoy being in front of the camera, so posing for pictures to begin with is so unnatural and doesn't capture the true spirit of everyone. She literally cannot "fake" smile no matter how hard we try to teach her (which is something I secretly love about her). I caught her being genuinely happy when my nephew was opening his presents.
