Her 'up north,' camping bike was missing a couple of brake pads, so she consolidated them to the front.

But dad knows better...

I missed the focus on the first shot unfortunately, but this was my friend returning home from Iraq to see his grandmother. She didn't know he was home. I didn't plan on taking any shots, but I always have my X100T with me :)

Sometimes focus doesn't matter, perfect example of that here. Will be a nice memory for your mate to look back on.

Wonderful photo!
Are you still using 5D3 or switched to Sony completely?

Thanks! I went full Sony. Mainly for the portability of the small APS-c mirrorless....which has been awesome. I do miss the 5D3 for shallower Dof and low light performance.

Just in from being out all afternoon, the kitten super excited that we are back home, but still he sits, quietly waiting for my Daughter as she feeds him some fresh chicken.

I love that special excitement when family pets welcome home fellow members of 'the pack'.

This is a great thread! So many nice moments well captured. I love everything about the one above with the cat contemplating a morsel. The composition and reflections--fun!

Recently, I started carrying around my old film pocket camera and it reminded me how much I love always having a camera with me (that's not also a phone) and wish there was a digital version of the Yashica T5. The closest thing I could find is a Ricoh GR; it even fits in the Yashica belt pouch, though a bit slimmer and 20g heavier. I just rented one and am still learning the camera but so far impressions are positive. This was my daughter is we roamed a local street the other night.

Thanks for your comments Scott, I'm also a big fan of 18mm on an APS-C sensor. Like you I also like having a nicer camera than my phone with me.

That moment when you realise you just blew a load of icing sugar over the person carrying your birthday cake.
