UPDATE: Audubon used one of my photos on yesterdays blog. The link is at the end of this thread.
I contributed for the first time this year. Here are a few of the photos that I entered into their photo contest.
1) Black Capped Chickadee
2)Mourning Doves taking turns getting a drink from the heated pan of water. I had 25 of them on the ground at the same time.IMAGE LINK: https://flic.kr/p/qXVKpg

This was fun...I shall participate again next year!
My results that I reported to GBBC...I submitted the birds I saw during a 20 minute time slot.
25 Mourning Doves, 2 Downy Woodpeckers, 2 Hairy Woodpeckers, 1 Cardinal, 5 Chickadees, 1 Crow, 10 Bluejays, 2 Red Breasted Nuthatches, and 1 White Breasted Nuthatch. I usually have more American Tree Sparrows than anything else...but not that day! Later in the day, I also submitted a Pileated Woodpecker that I saw in a tree across from my house. And that afternoon, a Northern Shrike landed in the tree on my lawn. He's a predator looking for an easy meal, but he left hungry!
