looking to get more into portraits since more and more people I know are requesting photo shoot sessions. Im a huge fan of Van Styles and his style of photography and his use of natural lighting on his models. so I took some shots of my wife in front of our bedroom window. unfortunately I only got one keeper. tell me what you guys think please. im leaning more towards the black and white one. thanks again!

Not too sure about her hair being bun up but I like the warm tone version.

It gives it a better sense of mood. Like it's sunset and waiting or just reflecting on something....

Otherwise nice silhouette of her face.

First one for me, the b&w version makes her seem cold (which I'm sure she's not!), the coloured one feels warmer, much more appealing to me. Personal taste thing.

Agree with the others. #1 with the subtle colors set the mood in the shot.

I would open the blinds to have a uniform background and light source. I think that the blinds being turned somewhat is causing some of the light spill under her chin. You have set a nice mood here and the tree in the background adds to it, but for me the blinds are distracting.
